- Whether a deadline applies, such as a move-in date or a planned event.
Questions to ask every company
- What exactly is included: resurfacing finish, waterline tile, coping, decking, equipment and plumbing, features, and warranty terms?
- Which finish, tile and coping do you recommend for my pool, and what condition is the shell in?
- What equipment and plumbing work is included, and is it new or repaired?
- Who does the work — your own crew or subcontractors — what is the timeline, and how are draining, refilling and startup handled?
- What does the warranty cover, finish versus labor, for how long, does it transfer to a new owner, and what maintenance does it require?
- Is the price a firm written quote for this exact scope, and what would change it?
